Regionally Speaking, Wednesday, March 11, 2020

Hanover Community Schools website

Today:   A south Lake County school district is asking its patrons (and voters)  to consider a question that will come up on the May 5th primary election ballot.  Mary McAuley with Hanover Community Schools is leading an ambitious project to be able to educate a growing number of students.Indiana University is suspending all "in-class" classes at all campuses, including I.U. Northwest, very soon as a precaution against the coronavirus.  Lakeshore Public Radio's Sharon Jackson spoke with Chuck Carney in Bloomington about the suspension.  We also have another edition of "Green Fleet Radio," supported by South Shore Clean Cities and NIRPC.  Today's topic is biofuels and Family Express stores. And we bring back our conversation with Bill Carroll, a former college president -- now a consultant -- who is helping bring St. Joseph's College in Rensselaer back to life, academically.

Chris Nolte produces and hosts “Regionally Speaking” aired weekdays from noon to 1:00 p.m. He's also the temporary local "Morning Edition" host.
