Families Tackling Tough Times Together

Purdue University Human Development and Family Studies Professor Shelley MacDermid Wadsworth recently spoke with “Regionally Speaking” host Chris Nolte about a 10-week faculty driven initiative to support families during the coronavirus pandemic called “Families Tackling Tough Times Together”. Professor MacDermid Wadworth is the director of the Center for Families as well as the Military Family Research Institute on the West Lafayette campus.

Lakeshore Public Radio 89.1FM, initially known as The Lakeshore 89.1FM, first hit the airwaves across Northwest Indiana on January 19, 2010. The station was created after the board of directors for Lakeshore Public Media, which also operates our sister station Lakeshore PBS, saw the need for regional access to a public radio station in order to provide localized up-to-the-minute news and information for NW Indiana residents.
