Tradewinds Answering the Call for Personal Protective Equipment

Tradewinds

MERRILLVILLE - An organization that offers a variety of services for individuals with disabilities is looking for sewing machine operators to produce personal protective equipment for local healthcare workers and first responders.

Lynn Strohl, Director of Industries for Tradewinds in Merrillville says the idea to produce PPEs came from community need.

Strohl says from one week Tradewinds went from idea, to prototype to actually getting gowns and masks to first responders and the community.

Anyone interested in applying to be a sewing machine operator may call (219) 945-0100 ext. 201 or 311 or visit tradewindsnwi.org/careers
