Regionally Speaking, Monday, May 18, 2020

Provided

Today:  Indiana Democratic gubernatorial candidate Woody Myers is a third-generation Hoosier, a physician, as well as the former Indiana State Health Commissioner. He recently announced that former State Representative Linda Lawson, who served Northwest Indiana in the legislature for 20 years, is his running mate. They join us to discuss their campaign ahead of the primary election. ECIER Foundation partnered with Michels, Indiana American Water, Chicagoland Popcorn and the John Will Anderson Boys & Girls Club to donate computers and popcorn to foundation students that are engaged in e-learning at home during the COVID-19 pandemic. We revisit a conversation with Purdue University Human Development and Family Studies Professor Shelley MacDermid about a 10-week faculty driven initiative to support families during the coronavirus pandemic called “Families Tackling Tough Times Together”.

Chris Nolte produces and hosts “Regionally Speaking” aired weekdays from noon to 1:00 p.m. He's also the temporary local "Morning Edition" host.
