And "Times" contributor and amateur Gary historian Korry Shepard talks about his recent columns about Lake Sandy Jo in the Gary area — its creation, use, misuse and and the final steps toward reuse as a place for the city's future industrial expansion. His columns also mention some of the public government corruption documented over the years that surrounded the site, which began as a part of the I-80-94 highway construction project.
