Lake County residents relax along the lake at Lake Etta County Park. A concept plan for more park spaces is being currently under development at Lake County Parks.

Today: Craig Zandstra, special programs coordinator with Lake County Parks, is on "Regionally Speaking" to talk about the work on a concept plan for potential parks, which include obtaining land for one in Schererville and the area around Meyer’s Castle in Dyer. He says these are in areas close to the state line which could provide more green space and recreation opportunities for residents where few, or no county parks currently exist. A discussion of a massive solar energy project was included in an environmental symposium in Valparaiso, and a special public ceremony is planned at the site of what used to be Lew Wallace High School in Gary. We have today's "Marketplace Tech" and "INside Indiana Business" reports, which include a groundbreaking for a major corporate headqtarters to go up in a former brownfields space on the near west side of downtown Indianapolis.
