Verónica Zaragovia was born in Cali, Colombia, and grew up in South Florida. She’s been a lifelong WLRN listener and is proud to cover health care for the station. Verónica has a bachelor’s degree in political science and a master's degree in journalism. For many years, Veronica lived out of a suitcase (or two) in New York City, Tel Aviv, Hong Kong, Las Vegas, D.C., San Antonio and Austin, where she worked as the statehouse and health care reporter with NPR member station KUT.

Luke X. Martin was an intern for "Up to Date" in fall 2011. He is a graduate of the University of Kansas and received a master's degree from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University. While at Medill, Martin covered local and state politics in Chicago and Illinois, and spent his final quarter reporting on national security from Washington, D.C. His work has appeared on The Daily Caller, UPI.com, Politics Daily and other websites. Born in Manhattan, Kan., and raised in Wichita, Martin's love of public radio started in his teens, with the nerdy habit of listening to KMUW on the way to and from Wichita East High School.

Dominic Anthony Walsh covers energy, the environment and public health for Texas Public Radio. He focuses on stories that reveal how major changes in climate systems, energy markets and public health policies affect communities in his hometown, San Antonio, and across the state.

My name is Taylor, and I’m the new general assignment reporter for WBAA News. I came to WBAA after working for WFIU in Bloomington, Indiana. I was born and raised in Michigan, in the metro-Detroit area. I studied journalism and English literature at IU, and the more I learned about public radio, the more I wanted to work in the field. I’m excited to start my work here at WBAA, reporting on issues affecting the Greater Lafayette area.
