Today: Purdue Extension community development regional educator Tamara Ogle, who specializes in local government, is on “Regionally Speaking” to talk about some of the bills and issues related to the 2022 General Assembly session. Ogle focuses upon research on the property tax system, property assessment and local government structure, We also speak with two “Save The Dunes” executives: the new one, Betsy Maher, who was just named last week, and outgoing executive director Natalie Johnson. She’s been working with Betsy in the transition. Indiana Passenger Rail Alliance president Steve Coxhead talks about the passenger rail-related issues being discussed in the 2022 General Assembly session. One of them is Senate Bill 13, which covers the creation of a statewide Passenger Rail Commission.
