Regionally Speaking: June 9, 2022

On "Regionally Speaking," Tom Maloney talks with Jerry King, President of the Hoosiers Concerned About Gun Violence, about the upcoming July 1st change in gun laws for the state of Indiana, as well as the availability of making gun purchases at gun shows, gun shops, and "ghost guns" through on-line retailers.

Then, Tom talks with David Benjamin of the Great Lakes Surf Rescue Project about water safety this summer. They discuss what drowning looks like, as well as safety issues with a lack of lifeguards this summer at Northwest Indiana beaches.

Dee Dotson talks with of the Troy Stevenson, Senior Campaign Manager for the Trevor Project, to discuss suicide among the LGBTQ+ community.

As Vice President of Radio Operations, Tom is responsible for overseeing Lakeshore Public Radio. He oversees the radio station’s programming, as well as news. He was instrumental in bringing several different genres of music to Lakeshore Public Radio.
