Regionally Speaking, December 16, 2022

From the Indiana Chamber of Commerce report

lllustration of Indiana’s “leaking” workforce pipeline.

Today: The month of November recognized National Family Caregivers Month as well as National Alzheimer’s and Dementia Month so we wanted to spend time focused on caregiving. We’re speaking with Julie Collins, Indiana Program Manager with the Alzheimer’s Association.  The 2023 Indiana Legislative session is just around the corner. Indiana Youth Institute President and CEO Tami Silverman shares some of the issues she hopes will be addressed. But up first, some of Indiana’s brightest and most talented young people across Indiana are moving from the Hoosier state in search of new opportunities but it’s not just the job market that keeps graduates from staying in the state. Some reports share that public policy plays a role as well so we’re speaking with Chris Chyung  a millennial and former Northwest Indiana legislator to get his take.   All of that on this edition of Regionally Speaking.
