Shep remembers his high school English teacher.

When a listener asks why he doesn't write more poetry, it triggers a painful memory from Shep's days at Hammond High School. In this program from August 10, 1973, he blames a teacher known as "Elephant" McCullough for turning him off of poetry and many other historic forms of literature.
