  • Today: Three of the candidates running for U.S. Representative in Indiana's First District in the May 3rd primary elections are on "Regionally Speaking" to talk about their candidacies and the issues which they see as important to northwest Indiana residents. Incumbent Congressman Frank Mrvan, Jr. and two Republican Party primary challengers, Jennifer-Ruth Green and Blair Milo, spoke with us recently and we bring back those conversations.

  • Today: Scott Pelath, executive director of the Kankakee River Basin and Yellow River Basin Development Commission, is on "Regionally Speaking" to talk about the organization based in Portage and what is planned for 2022 – “a lot going on this year.” The Commission is responsible for water resource planning and development on the rivers in eight counties, including Lake, Porter, Newton, Jasper and LaPorte Counties. Much of the work involves finding solutions to flooding issues along both rivers, since they flow west into Illinois.
