WNBA Champion comes home to Gary as an honoree of the city.

The physical altercation took place on Gary's West Side Leadership Academy's campus Tuesday afternoon.

Some local schools are getting a boost with their efforts to help students continue their education beyond high school. The Indiana Commission for Higher Education says it's awarded over $162,000 to 21 organizations across the state, in the latest round of the School and Community Partnership Grant.
