More South Shore service replaced by buses this week, as Double Track work continues

South Shore CVA

More South Shore Line service is being replaced by buses this week. Between now and Thursday, midday westbound trains will be replaced by buses from Carroll Avenue all the way to Gary/Chicago Airport (Clark Road), roughly between 8:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Eastbound trains leaving Millennium Station between 8:45 a.m. at 4:02 p.m. will have their passengers bussed between Gary and Michigan City.

The railroad says the change is meant to accommodate a rail delivery for the Double Track project. All trains are replaced by buses between Dune Park and Carroll Avenue through the fall.
