More road projects are getting underway next week.

Starting on or after Sunday, I-94 will be down to two lanes in each direction between Ripley and State Road 249. The Indiana Department of Transportation says it's due to a bridge deck overlay project over Willow Creek and the CSX Railroad. Alternating lane and shoulder closures are scheduled to continue for the next three weeks.

Starting Monday, Burr Street will be reduced to one lane in each direction between 25th and 29th avenues for a bridge deck overlay project over I-80/94. The closures will start with the inside lanes. The project is expected to continue through late August.

On U.S. 6, watch for alternating lane closures between Scottsdale Street and State Road 149 near South Haven through late August. INDOT says the work will begin with ADA upgrades to sidewalks and curb ramps, along with patching and milling, followed by paving.

Meanwhile, State Road 10 will be closed between U.S. 41 and Newton County Road 300 West for a box culvert replacement. The closure is expected to last about 20 days.
