The closure on State Road 55 near Crown Point is scheduled to switch to the southbound lanes Wednesday. The Indiana Department of Transportation says the southbound lanes will be closed for concrete restoration from U.S. 231 to 137th Avenue, weather permitting.
That means local traffic will have to come from the south and head northbound to get to homes and businesses. The official detour uses U.S. 231, I-65 and State Road 2.
Work is scheduled to wrap up in August.
