Drivers using Hart Street in Dyer may have to find another route this week. Hart Street will be closed from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 20 through Thursday, May 22 between 77th Avenue and Stech Street, according to the town's Facebook page. The closure is for NIPSCO utility upgrades.
The town says it's decided to limit the closure to daytime hours, to accommodate school transportation and commuters. Drivers are asked to use Calumet Avenue as a detour.
