Wendy Dio Talks About New DIO Documentary
WENDY DIO -- widow of late great metal singer RONNIE JAMES DIO -- has been interviewed numerous times by show host Tom Lounges over the years. The longtime wife and manager of the late heavy metal icon, Wendy recently co-authored the 2022 biographical book "DIO: Rainbow In the Dark," and is also the executive producer of the soon to be released documentary, "DIO: Dreamers Never Die."For this special program about the making of the documentary, Wendy is joined by the film's co-producers/co-directors Don Argott and Demian Fenton. The three discuss "Dreamers Never Die," a career-spanning documentary on the life and times of the legendary heavy metal superstar.“DIO: Dreamers Never Die” explores Dio’s incredible career with his early bands, to his days in Elf and Ritchie Blackmore’s Rainbow, to replacing Ozzy Osbourne in Black Sabbath, and finally cementing his status as a legendary metal icon with his own band, DIO. The film incorporates never-before-seen footage, personal photos, and scenes with his closest peers, family, and friends, including Wendy Dio, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, Glenn Hughes, Vinny Appice, Lita Ford, Rob Halford, Sebastian Bach, Eddie Trunk, and Jack Black.

Two key members of hard rock supergroup THE DEAD DAISIES -- GLENN HUGHES (Deep Purple, Black Country Communion) and DOUG ALDRICH (Dio, Whitesnake) will talk with show host/producer Tom Lounges about their personal journey through the music business, The Dead Daisies group history, and the band's new 2022 album "RADIANCE."Selections songs from that new Dead Daisies album will be played during the program. Today: Porter County Sheriff David Reynolds is on "Regionally Speaking" to discuss the topic of mental health as this National Mental Health Awareness Month comes to an end. He says mental health is one of the key issues at the County Jail, along with addiction. The topic came up at a recent law enforcement memorial program in Valparaiso. The Porter County Commissioners recently hired an outside consultant to conduct a community assessment on suicide awareness and prevention. We revisit our conversation with a former Illinois police officer who almost took his own life because of the stresses of his job and a misdiagnosis during an initial mental health treatment.
