Guitarist of The Kentucky Headhunters Calls In

This edition of "MIDWEST BEAT with Tom Lounges" features an interview with guitarist GREG MARTIN of THE KENTUCKY HEADHUNTERS about the group's career from 1969 to their newest 2022 release, "That's A Fact Jack!," from which some songs are played for Lakeshore listeners to enjoy.

The group's sound has evolved since the days of their first major hit, "Dumas Walker," but it's still very much got that Headhunter's vibe. Learn what's happened to the old Elvis Presley tour bus the band used to travel in, and hear about Greg's long running weekly radio program ("Lowdown Hoedown") and where you can listen to it every Monday

Lakeshore Public Radio 89.1FM, initially known as The Lakeshore 89.1FM, first hit the airwaves across Northwest Indiana on January 19, 2010. The station was created after the board of directors for Lakeshore Public Media, which also operates our sister station Lakeshore PBS, saw the need for regional access to a public radio station in order to provide localized up-to-the-minute news and information for NW Indiana residents.
Tom Lounges has been a region radio personality and a music journalist since 1979.
