  • Chicago rocker/actor Pete Berwick is working on a new book that chronicles the colorful, albeit too short recording career of the iconic denim-clad band, THE BOYZZ FROM ILLINOIZZ.The Boyzz were a Chicago biker bar band with a distinct Southern Rock feel Established in 1977, the group initially comprised front man Dirty Dan Buck, guitarist Mike Tafoya and Gil Pini, bassist David Angel, keyboard player Anatole Halinkovitch with Kent Cooper on the drums.The author will be live in studio to talk about the project and how he came to take on writing about this colorful band of rowdies who epitomized the title of their solo 1979 EPIC RECORDS release, "TOO WILD TO TAME."Calling in to join the conversation and share stories from the glory days of the band will be former lead vocalist and front man DIRTY DAN BUCK.
