South Side Songwriter & Book Author BUD MONACO Talks Music & Military Service with Tom Lounges

Midwest music promoter, songwriter, book author and U.S. Army veteran — Buddy Monaco of South Productions (SoPro) was the in-studio guest for this week’s “A Look At The Arts” program,  which in honor of VETERAN’S DAY, featured a series of original songs Monaco has written for and about military veterans, that was recorded by an All-Star Band of seasoned Chicago musicians.  

Monaco is the author of three books -- "Drafted: You're In The Army Now," "Riding Easy," and "Tone King."

Tom Lounges has been a region radio personality and a music journalist since 1979. For the last 35-years, he has been reporting on entertainment as a weekly columnist and feature writer for The Times newspaper. He was also publisher and editor of the monthly tri-state entertainment magazine ("Midwest BEAT Magazine") for over two decades, he has written hundreds of features for numerous national glossy magazines over the decades, and he wrote "Liner Notes" for over a dozen albums release by Sony Records.
